Five people,
one long table.
We are a practice of five in Porto, with a desk in Leeds. We design houses, small housing, workplaces and interiors, and we stay on each job until the keys change hands.
A
We start on site, not at the desk. Before we draw anything we walk the plot at different times of day and write down what we see: light, noise, neighbours, the way water runs off.

We draw slowly and build quickly. Most of the decisions are made in the drawing set, so the builder has fewer questions and the budget holds.
C
We use few materials and use them well: brick, lime, timber and concrete, chosen for how they age as much as how they look on handover day.
