Brief
A ceramicist bought the top floor of a workshop building and wanted to live and work in it without the two getting in each other's way.
Approach
We took out four partitions and a false ceiling. A single clerestory now runs the length of the room, and a low cabinet wall divides the studio from the living space without closing either.
Materials
White limewash on the walls, wide oak boards on the floor, brass wall lights and a built-in kiln room lined in fire board.
